The idea is to bypass the official media, the self-appointed community leaders, to get away from the politics of the board and committee room, the behind closed doors discussion and decision making.

That people should be able to contribute as time and inclination allow. That there should be somewhere those uncomfortable with conventional politics can feel at home, a relaxed, civilized free space.
